This past Friday, I attended a historical event at DC Fashion Week - their very first fashion show showcasing modest fashion. This fashion-forward event featured designs from Mali Rose, Sabika Seattle, Cover me Beautiful, Lia Wear Action, M'Squared, Nahda Designs, and Sanriq Styles. Lighting wasn't ideal, but here are some shots I managed to take of the runway show! Professional shots can be found at Areej Fashions.
The level of diversity in this show was fascinating! From dresses for young girls to modest active wear, wedding dresses, and resort wear - there was something for everyone!
The show began with some incredibly professional little divas who RIPPED the runway wearing Mali Rose designs. Click below for a peek!
Click below for the final walk from the final designer to showcase their designs at the show, Sanriq Styles!
Special thanks to Shea Bates (right), of Muslimah Conventions, who invited me VIP to the show! You looked amazing in your dress by Konservative Kreations (@konservative_kreations on IG).
I can't wait for the next DC Fashion Week, February 16-22, 2012, where modest fashion designers are invited to showcase their designs once more! Visit www.dcfashionweek.com for more details!
